Illustrationsphotographs, old engravings of farmers tending vineyards, coopers making barrels and other 20th-century imagesand numerous literary citations enhance the aesthetic quality of the book, which will satisfy any reader curious about the history of wine.
A detailed description of fine Italian wines makes these volumes, issued in cooperation with the Istituto Geografico De Agostini (publisher of renowned reference works), a fundamental tool for knowledge about Italian wines.
The last section of each book is devoted to the wineries associated with the Enoteca Italiana, with lists of their addresses and wines kept in our cellars.
The List of DOC and DOCG Wine (Carta dei Vini)
The simplest and most practical way to learn just about everything about DOC and DOCG wines. Each wine is presented with ample documentation on its characteristics and existing types in a linear and easy-to-consult fashion.
The "Wine List," now in its XVIII edition, is offered to the thousands of people who visit the Medici Fortress and all those who, at fairs or events, or even just once, by chance, have come across the Enoteca Italiana. It has been translated from Italian English, German, French and Japanese to spread knowledge of Italian wines throughout the world.
The Map of DOC and DOCG Wines
A cartographic rendering of the "Wine List." An easy-to-consult fold-up map helps pinpoint the geographical locations of the various Italian denominations. Discover the richest areas and most fruitful vineyards, tracing routes through areas with very different layouts and climates, which are home to premium wines.
DOCG Wines
This English and Italian handbook lists in alphabetical order all of the Controlled and Guaranteed Denomination of Origin wines recognized to date, with an appendix devoted to grappa. Photos and descriptions, one historical and the other technical, accompany each denomination, including the latest data available on the area: the amount of land devoted to vineyards, output, and complete information on the reference consortia.
Award-Winning Italian Wines 2006 (I Vini Premiati d'Italia 2006)
Published in cooperation with De Agostini, this handbook presents the more than 3,200 wines awarded prizes in the official wine competitions held in 2005, providing a complete look at what, according to experts, are Italy's finest wines.
It also presents the 1,330 award-winning wineries, many unknown to the wider public, whose excellent wines have a good quality/price ratio. In addition, the handbook provides information on competition regulations, how to serve/conserve the wines, and the production regulations for the 210 DOC and 60 IGT wines.

A Guide to Italy's Indigenous Grapes (Viaggio attraverso i vitigni autoctoni italiani)
Published in cooperation with Alsaba Edizioni, this is the first book in Italy devoted to the country’s indigenous and traditionally grown grapes.
Including technical and scientific information about the origin of viticulture and the spread of vine-training methods, partly historical and partly special interest, the volume contains interesting information about current analysis technologies used in the research of Italy's great grape heritage.
But the stars of the book are the indigenous vines themselves, whose origins, history and growth in the territory are thoroughly detailed. There’s also a listing of each wine’s appellation of origin. This already complete, exhaustive work is further enriched by photos of the various grapes cited.

Starting with the history of wine and how it is made, the booklet goes on to discuss methods of serving, tasting and conserving wine, as well as listing foods that best accompany certain labels.
