DOC: Costa d'Amalfi

The "Costa d'Amalfi" Denominazione di Origine Controllata is reserved to wines produced in vineyards situated on hills that enjoy good exposure. They are located at altitudes that do not exceed 650 meters (2,132.5 feet). The vines grow in the territory of Amalfi and those of 12 other communes of the province of Salerno. The wine is made in the following types;

These wines can be labeled with the name of one of the three subzones in which they are produced: Furore, Ravello or Tramonti. In that case, the white must have 11° of alcohol and the rosé and red types must have 11.5°. In addition, the red version can also be described as Riserva, provided that it has been aged two years.
