Consolidated Shipment Service

After an experimental period, the Ente Vini - Enoteca Italiana is pleased to offer member companies, foreign caterers and buyers the opportunity to take advantage of a consolidated shipment service.
The sale of small quantities of wine, even if they are of different types, to foreign markets.

The objective of the Consolidated Shipment Service is to:
  1. Foster the acquaintance of the wines produced by member companies among foreign buyers;
  2. Introduce the sale of wines produced by member companies to new markets;
  3. Facilitate the purchase of wines, by allowing even small quantity orders that are made up of different wines from different enterprises;
  4. Encourage foreign clients to purchase several typologies of wines, thus reducing the risk of capital lock-up;
  5. Reduce freight charges by means of a consolidated shipment;
  6. Guarantee payment owed to producers because of the 'triangular' sale, in which Enoteca Italiana assumes risk for outstanding payments from foreign clients;
  7. Connect product promotion with marketing.
This service is at the disposal of all member companies and foreign buyers, although the Enoteca Italiana mainly targets emerging markets so as not to interfere with the activities already established by producing enterprises on traditional markets.

How the Consolidated Shipment Service is structured

The Enoteca Italiana Export Department will gather the requests forwarded by foreign buyers and, through specific forms, will inform the interested member companies of the requests so received. Forms will be dispatched according to the characteristics of the specific wines.

The enterprises will formalize their availability by means of a sales estimate quoting ex-work prices.
Cost estimates will be grouped together according to request parameters and forwarded to the client, who may then ask for a shipment of samples. The various companies will deliver samples to the Enoteca Italiana, which will then dispatch them to clients in one single shipment.
The cost of shipments will be borne by the various producing companies according to the number of samples provided.
The cost of the certificates of analysis will be at the producing company's expense.
Upon receipt of a purchase order made by a foreign buyer, the Enoteca Italiana will issue a formal order that includes the selected wines. This order will state the conditions of sale through the 'triangle'. In fact, the relationship is configured as a triangular commercial operation and will be subject to all relevant regulations.
The forwarding agent will collect goods within the terms specified and will see to shipment.

The producing company will issue a regular invoice to the order of the Enoteca Italiana, which will be liable for payment. In turn, the Enoteca Italiana will issue a regular invoice to the foreign client.

This service has been structured in broad outlines to make it more efficient. Conditions of sale will be defined more in detail according to the specific needs of each single foreign buyer.
